Blackheath Primary School has gone from strength to strength over the past few years.

Our success can be attributed to teamwork and parental involvement.

 The most rewarding part of my journey in education was the erection of the new school building with a proper campus sports field. Our school became a beacon of hope in our community. We have produced outstanding achievers such as Dr Ashwin Isaacs, Dr Joselyn Sylvester and Berthryn September CA , Chief Financial Officer of the Curro Group. They personified the school motto, namely Deeds not Words (Facta non Verba in Latin).

Our community has changed over the past three decades in terms of demographics and socio-economic conditions. In terms of language our school became a single English medium school in 2023. Our school became a No Fee school in 2023.

We believe that this is a major changer. It broadens access to quality education and it will  change our community and society for the better.

It is with a sense of pride and achievement that we are preparing the school for a new and very exciting era. Our school participates in the Maths Curriculum Online using ICT (Information and Communication Technology). Some educators were equipped with laptops as well. This will improve learning and teaching and improve our learners for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Our learners are developed holistically and are well prepared for the challenges of the 21 St Century.

It is my sincere wish that Blackheath goes from strength to strength. We know it will be a beacon of hope in our community.
